§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions 66W her Department has had with Northumberland Education Committee about the provision of technical education facilities linked to the High School at Berwick-upon-Tweed; and whether she is encouraging further study of this proposal.
§ Mr. OakesA revised scheme to provide further education facilities at Berwick-upon-Tweed was discussed by officers of the Department and the Northumberland local education authority in September 1976. The Department is waiting to hear whether the authority wishes the project to be considered for inclusion in the reduced 1977–78 major further education starts programme.
