§ Mr. Denis HowellTo avoid duplication and to ensure that technical matters concerning desalination are dealt with in the wider context of water treatment generally, the Desalination Committee has been constituted as the Desalination Working Party of the Standing Technical Committee on Water Treatment. The representation is entirely British. Members are drawn from the Central Water Planning Unit, the National Water Council, the Water Research Centre, water authorities, water companies, consulting engineers, the Central Electricity Generating Board, the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Research Establishment and the Department of Industry.
