§ Mr. Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many employment vouchers have been issued for the last six months for which records are available; and if he will itemise the particular industries to which the vouchers have been allocated.
§ Mr. John GrantWork permits have replaced employment vouchers. The number issued—for workers overseas—together with permissions given—to workers already here—for the six months ending 30th September 1976 was 12,273.
An industrial analysis of work permits issued and permissions given in 1976 will be available in a few months' time and will be published, as those for previous years have been, in the Department of Employment Gazette.
