HC Deb 10 January 1977 vol 923 cc431-2W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will now institute a public inquiry into the incidence of brain damage caused to some children vaccinated against whooping cough; if he is satisfied that the vaccinations available under the NHS are not causing brain damage; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he will list the names of all the manufacturers of whooping cough vaccine whose vaccines are available under the NHS; and what discussions he has had with all of them on the incidence of brain damage suffered by some children who have been vaccinated against whooping cough.

Mr. Ennals

I am considering the matter and will let the hon. Member have a full reply shortly.
