asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is the total annual cost of running the Registry of Business Names; and how many civil servants are employed in the registry.

In the financial year 1975–76, the total cost of running the Registry of Business Names was £363,000. There are 63 civil servants currently employed in the Registry.
