§ Mr. Denzil DaviesTaking the internal purchasing power of the pound as 100p in 1971 its value in each succeeding year is estimated to be 93p, 85½p, 74p, 59p and 51p, respectively. These estimates are based on changes in the General Index of Retail Prices.
