HC Deb 24 February 1977 vol 926 c684W
19. Mr. Paul Dean

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what provision he intends to make under the Finance Acts to enable the self-employed to obtain pensions for themselves at levels equivalent to those which will be available to members of pension schemes under the provisions of the Social Security Pensions Act 1975.

Mr. Denzil Davies

The limits on the amounts which self-employed people may contribute with full tax relief under retirement annuity contracts are reviewed regularly. As to what changes, if any, may be in prospect I cannot, of course, anticipate my right hon. Friend's Budget Statement.
