§ Dr. J. Dickson MabonRelations with the Government of the Republic of Ireland are a matter for my right hon. 663W Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. As the hon. Member knows my right hon. Friend has made conditional offers of licences for the two blocks. The holders of licences under the Petroleum (Production) Act 1934 will continue to enjoy the same rights to protection under the law as other persons in the United Kingdom.
