§ Mr. James Lamondasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, in the coming review of the Final Act of the Helsinki Conference, he will ensure that full attention is paid to the pledge to narrow the differences in the economic development of all the signatory countries and pay regard to the interests of developing countries throughout the world.
§ Mr. LuardI can assure my hon. Friend that in the forthcoming discussions in Belgrade Her Majesty's Government will pay full attention to the preambular paragraph in the Helsinki Final Act to which he refers. It is one of the principles with which the review of implementation of the Final Act will be concerned. We shall, of course, be paying equal attention to all the other provisions of the Helsinki document.
