Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is his estimate of the cost of remitting all charges for tory elements of treatment for persons on the supply of dentures and other laboraretirement pension.

Mr. Moyle

Assuming no increase in demand an estimated yearly cost of remitting the current charges for dentures for women over 60 and men over 65 would be in the region of £2½ million. No appropriate information is available on laboratory costs.
