§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will state the current acreage of land in Wales which is owned by the Crown for military purposes; and how many acres have been returned from military to civil use in Wales during the past three years.
§ Mr. DuffyThe Ministry of Defence currently holds 52,495 acres of freehold and leasehold land in Wales and 2,637 acres of foreshore, with rights over a further 2,962 acres. During the last three658W years, 167 acres of freehold and leasehold land have been returned to civil use.
