§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has evidence that any British oil company has been involved in the breaking of trade sanctions being applied against Rhodesia.
§ Mr. TomlinsonAllegations about breaches of sanctions by international oil companies have periodically been made. They are investigated in accordance with normal procedures. We are currently looking into certain evidence provided recently. So far as the British oil companies are concerned, Her Majesty's Government have in the past received firm assurances that they are observing sanctions.
