Mr. Anthony Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what steps he is taking to ensure that questionnaires and inquiries made by the Price Commission cause the minimum inconvenience to companies to which they are submitted.

Mr. Maclennan

The Price Commission is itself responsible for the conduct of inquries which it carries out in pursuance of its functions under the Counter Inflation Act 1973.
