Osbornasked the Secretary of State for Energy what consideration has has given to British collaboration in fast breeder reactor development following the decision to construct a 1,200 megawatt power station at Creys-Malville by five member States of the European Community, in view of the need to adapt British energy policy to fit in with the European programme, and the high cost of maintaining a British fast breeder 570W programme without outside co-operation and support.
§ Mr. EadieWe are taking full account of the prospects for international collaboration in our current review of policy on the fast reactor.
