Notes:
1. The analyses by place of birth and by socio-economic group are given only for Great Britain because the figures for the United Kingdom are not yet available.
2. The populations of parliamentary constituencies have not been analysed by age and place of birth and so the age analysis has been omitted throughout the comparison; but regional and sub-regional data on age by country of birth is published in the 1971 Census Tables: Great Britain—Country of Birth.
3. The distribution by socio-economic group is based on a 10 per cent. sample. Retired females are omitted from the analyses because figures are not available for the constituency.
