§ Ms Colquhounasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the fact that some policemen receive family income supplement as a result of low pay, if he will make a statement of his policy on future levels of police pay.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesDiscussions on the current police pay claim are continuing and I hope that a solution to the present difficulties will soon be found. It would be premature to speculate on what will follow at the end of the present phase of pay policy.
