asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list for each of the last 10 years the number of offences committed by prisoners during their release on parole.

Listed below is information relating to parolees recalled in each year where the commission of further offences was the primary reason or subsequently came to light. The parole scheme became operative on 1st April 1968 and comparable figures are not available for that year.
