Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many copies of each of the following newspapers are purchased every day by his Department in order to keep himself and senior civil servants informed on Scottish affairs: The Scotsman, The Glasgow Herald, the Press and Journal, the Daily Record, the Scottish Daily Express and the Dundee Courier and Advertiser.

Glasgow Herald 56
Scotsman 55
Scottish Daily Express 27
Press and Journal 22
Daily Record 19
Dundee Courier and Advertiser 12
