asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many miles of motorway exist in Scotland; how many are of the three-lane size; how many are of two-lane size; and how many have no hard shoulder.

119 miles of motorway are currently in use in Scotland, of which 20.9 miles are of three or more lanes and the remainder two-lane size. 15.6 miles of motorway have no hard shoulder.
