§ 41. Sir Anthony Royleasked the Secretary of State for Transport why he has not answered representations made to him by the Richmond on Thames Council regarding the routing of heavy traffic from the north to Southampton through Kew; and if it is now his policy that this primary road should include the diversion of juggernaut lorries in increasing numbers into the residential areas of Kew which results in the endangering of the lives of the residents and damage to the environment of the area.
§ Mr. HoramI have received no representations from the council. It is the responsibility of the Greater London Council as traffic authority to decide what traffic regulations should be applied on other than trunk roads in Greater London.
