§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will explain the role of the National Enterprise Board in the last stage of the industrial strategy agreed at the meeting of the National Economic Development Council on 2nd February 1977; and what action the NEB is to take over the five priority sectors, namely, industrial engines, construction equipment, office machinery,, electrical components and domestic electrical appliances.
§ Mr. Les HuckfieldThe Council agreed that the NEB had a particularly valuable role to play in carrying forward the industrial strategy. Proposals for the NEB's action on the priority sectors will be considered by its Board.
