Mr. Carson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when No. 10 Green-view Park, Upper Malone Road, was purchased by the Northern Ireland Office; for what purpose it was acquired; and what was the total cost including alterations and furnishings.

Mr. Marks

10 Greenview Park was purchased in 1975 by the Property Services Agency of my Department. The house was acquired to accommodate Northern Ireland Office officials from Great Britain serving on detached duty in Northern Ireland. The total cost including furnishings was £41,815.

Mr. Carson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the total amount received by the Northern Ireland Office for 10 Greenview Park, Upper Malone Road, including furnishings, when the property was recently disposed of.
