Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how many copies of each of the following newspapers are purchased every day by his Department in order to keep himself and senior civil servants informed on Scottish affairs: The Scotsman, the Glasgow Herald, the Press and Journal, the Daily Record, the Scottish Daily Express and the Dundee Courier and Advertiser.

Mr. Clinton Davis

Two copies of theScotsman and one copy of the Glasgow Herald are purchased each day for Ministers and senior civil servants in the Department. An internal Press summary and Press cutting service also disseminates information of interest within the Department.
