Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many copies of each of the following newspapers are purchased every week by his Department in order to keep him and his senior civil servants informed on Scottish affairs: the Sunday Post, the Sunday Mail and the Scottish Sunday Express.

The Ministry of Defence headquarters purchases none of these newspapers. The following are purchased in Scotland by the three Service headquarters whose public relations officers would draw the attention of the Ministry to items of interest:

Sunday Post 3
Sunday Mail 4
Scottish Sunday Express 4
