§ 53. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is satisfied that the allocations being determined for 1977–78 are sufficient to meet the special housing needs of the older development areas, including Tyneside.
§ Mr. FreesonNo; but I am satisfied that the priority which we are giving to areas of greatest need in making allocations for 1977–78 should enable local authorities to make substantial progress towards meeting their housing needs, even though more will remain to be done in many areas.
