As to the position now reached as a result of the discussions in the Council of Ministers, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I have to my hon. Friend the Member for Ilford North (Mrs. Miller) on 26th January.—[Vol. 924, c.218W 647–9.] In so far as any agreement calls for change in the United Kingdom legislation on VAT, this will of course be submitted to the House in the usual way.
