§ Mr. MoyleThe centre under construction at Birch Hill Hospital is being built in accordance with national guidance given by my Department in 1968 and 1971, which indicated the need for facilities for the comprehensive assessment of handicapped children to be provided as part of the district general hospital service, with supporting facilities at sub-regional and regional level. I am sending the hon. Member copies of the memoranda concerned.
