asked the Secretary of State for Transport what additional appointments he intends to make to the board of the National Freight Corporation.

After consulting the Chairman, Sir Daniel Pettit, I have today appointed as full-time members of the board Mr. Victor Paige, formerly Executive Vice-Chairman (Administration) of the Corporation and Mr. Peter Thompson formerly Executive Vice-Chairman (Operations).
