HC Deb 15 February 1977 vol 926 c160W
44. Mr. Terry Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will encourage local education authorities to give special help to dyslexic pupils.

Mrs. Shirley Williams

It is most important that children with reading difficulties should be given the special help that they need. I am sure that local education authorities are aware of this, and that both they and teachers have the interests of these children very much in mind.
