HC Deb 15 February 1977 vol 926 c218W
Mr. Grocott

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list the British nationals who are presently imprisoned in any country for their political beliefs, specifying for each country the nature of the offence, whether or not a trial has yet taken place and the length of the sentence.

Mr. Luard

I know of no United Kingdom nationals imprisoned abroad merely because of their political beliefs.
