HC Deb 14 February 1977 vol 926 c107W
Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what progress has been made in assessing the advantages of rocket assisted projectiles in meeting the Army's requirement for extended range artillery shells.

Mr. Robert C. Brown

In conjunction with Germany and Italy, our partners in the development of the new 155mm artillery weapons, and with the Americans, a survey of rocket assisted projectiles currently under development has been undertaken. The results of the survey are being studied and evaluation trials of the favoured projectile are planned to start as soon as possible.
