HC Deb 14 February 1977 vol 926 cc29-30W
Mr. Adley

asked the Attorney-General if he will refer to the Director of Public Prosecutions with a view to prosecution for breach of the Post Office Act the action of the Transport and General Workers Union pickets, who are physically preventing the delivery of mail to the Linton Lodge Hotel, Oxford.

The Attorney-General

No. As a result of inquiries made by my Department of the local police I am informed that the police are already investigating allegations of offences arising out of the picketing of this hotel. I have no reason to doubt that the local police will take

the names of those appointed to serve as chairmen of health boards and the Management Committee of the Common Services Agency from 1st April 1977.

Mr. Millan

I have invited the following to serve as chairmen of health boards and the Management Committee of the Common Services Agency from 1st April 1977 for the periods stated, and all have accepted my invitation:

whatever action may be appropriate in all the circumstances.
