asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the setting up of a committee of inquiry into the engineering profession and related topics.

Mr. Michael Marshall

asked the Secretary of Slate for Industry if he will appoint a committee of inquiry to examine the use of professional engineers in industry and the suitability of the present system of their education, training and registration.
