HC Deb 14 February 1977 vol 926 cc43-4W
Mr. Macfarlane

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether plans have yet been agreed for the disposal of land occupied by the South-West Thames Regional Health Authority at the Belmont and Henderson Hospital site; how much land is under discussion; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Moyle

I understand that the Property Services Agency of the Department of the Environment has recently informed the regional health authority that 22.73 acres of land on this site surplus to National Health Service needs have been allocated to the Greater London Council for acquisition, and the council have undertaken to meet any reasonable requirements of the London borough of Sutton for land needed to provide personal social services.
