HC Deb 14 February 1977 vol 926 cc7-8W
Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will make a statement on the investigation on the dumping of Belaz trucks in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Meacher

My Department carried out a detailed investigation of imports of two models of dumper trucks from the USSR and is satisfied that these machines have been imported at dumped prices and that this dumping caused material injury to the British industry. However, an undertaking has now been given that import prices will be revised so as to eliminate the margins of dumping that were found, and it has, therefore, been decided not to impose antidumping duties as long as this undertaking is observed.
