§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will make the age allowance payable to a married man or his wife born before 6th April 1913 available at the single person level to retired women who are unmarried and between the ages of 60 and 65 years;
(2) what would be the cost of making the lower personal allowance available to retired women between 60 and 65 years of age who are unmarried; and if he will make a statement.
