§ Mr. Newtonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many applications for grants towards loft insulation for elderly and disabled people have been submitted to his Department under the terms of Circular 160/74; how many have been approved; and what has been the average grant.
§ Mr. ArmstrongThree applications covering 10 dwellings have been received, to all of which my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has consented. In relation to one dwelling, costs are not known. The average grant approved in the other cases was about £19 per dwelling.
