§ Mr. GoldingIn the Oakengates, Madeley Shropshire and Wellington travel-to-work area, which includes Telford New Town, the unemployment rates at 13th January were 7 per cent. for males and 7.2 per cent. for females. The corresponding figures for the Birmingham travel-to-work area were 8.1 and 4.1 per cent. Rates are calculated for the whole of a travel-to-work area but not separately for its constituent parts.
