asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has received a request from Lothian Regional Council for approval to purchase the Donaldson Institute's Junior School at Henderson Row, Edinburgh; and if so what decision he has reached on this matter.

Yes; the request was received last week and is under consideration.
