(2) when the insulation requirements in the building regulations were established; and what amendments have taken place since then.
§ Mr. McElhoneThermal insulation requirements for houses and most other types of residential buildings have been included in the Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations since they first came into force in 1964. The prescribed minimum standards remained essentially 787W unaltered until nearly doubled by amendment regulations which came into force in April 1975. Proposals for extension of thermal insulation requirements in the regulations to offices, shops and industrial buildings are under consideration.
