§ Dr. SummerskillNo. I am of course aware that a Bill, introduced by my hon. Friend the Member for Belper (Mr. Mac-Farquhar) includes such proposals, but we consider that it would be undesirable to bring crossbows within the scope of the term "firearm" as defined in the Firearms Act 1968. My hon. Friend is aware of our objections to these proposals in his Bill.
