§ Mr. Robert SheldonThe number of staff employed in the Treasury at 1st February 1977 was 1,094, none of whom was employed in Scotland. These figures exclude offices such as the Exchequer Office, Scotland and the Paymaster-General's Office which, although borne on the Treasury Vote, are not part of the Treasury itself; and certain Departments, such as Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise, for which Treasury Ministers are responsible.
