HC Deb 04 February 1977 vol 925 c458W
Mr. Beith

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether his Department regards Twizell Bridge, near Cornhil, Northumberland, as an important historic structure; and what consideration has been given to its future.

Mr. Marks

Twizell Bridge is an ancient monument and a grade 2 listed building and as such is recognised to be an important historic structure. Discussions have already taken place and been agreed with the Department of Ancient Monuments and Historic Buildings for immediate remedial works.
