§ Mr. Kinnockasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the number of male, female and juvenile jobs which will be lost in Wales as a result of abolishing regional employment premium.
§ Mr. Joel Barnett, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 3rd February 1977; Vol. 925, c. 314], gave the following information:
The decision to withdraw regional employment premiums was taken as part of a package of industrial and economic measures, the effect of which will be to reduce unemployment compared to what it would otherwise have been.
