HC Deb 03 February 1977 vol 925 c266W
Q32. Mr. Kinnock

asked the Prime Minister if he will pay an official visit to Portugal in view of that country's widely understood rôle as Great Britain's oldest ally and the democratic advances made in recent years in that country.

The Prime Minister

I have a present no plans to pay an official visit to Portugal. The Prime Minister of Portugal, Dr. Mario Soares, will visit London from 14th to 15th February as the guest of Her Majesty's Government, and I look forward greatly to exchanging views with him.
