HC Deb 03 February 1977 vol 925 c261W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Lord President of the Council what is the daily financial allowance given to Members, officials and assistants attending meetings of the EEC constituent bodies; and what is the amount in the case of Peers.

Mr. Foot

Allowances payable to Members of the European Assembly, whether Members of this House or Peers, are set out in the answer given by my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Civil Service Department to the hon. Member for Faversham (Mr. Moate) on 22nd July 1976.—[Vol. 915, c.543.]

The daily subsistence rates for the staff of the House who accompany the United Kingdom delegation to the Assembly range, according to grade, between 350 and 153 French francs—approximately £41.50 and £18.00.
