§ Mr. Tebbitasked the Secretary of State for Industry what criteria local authorities and public corporations should employ in determining in any particular case that they are following the "buy British" injunction, in the light of his reply of 27th January 1977 to the hon. Member for Chingford that the definition of the proportion of value required to be added to each category of product to be purchased by such authorities or corporations for such products to be regarded as British could be achieved only at disproportionate cost.
