HC Deb 02 February 1977 vol 925 c220W
26. Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the latest preparations for the Belgrade Review Conference on the Helsinki Agreement.

Mr. Luard

The Belgrade preparatory meeting, which has as its main tasks the setting up of a date, duration and agenda for the main review meeting, is now less than five months away. In the run-up period ahead we shall be intensifying our already close consultations with our partners and allies, and with other signatories of the Final Act, to ensure the fullest preparation for the review meeting.
