asked the Secretary of State for Employment what grant his Department has made to voluntary bodies for their work, excluding that on the job creation programme, in each of the last three years; what is his estimate of any similar grants in 1977–78; and if he will detail current projects being so funded.

The total amounts paid in respect of voluntary bodies as stated in the answer I gave the hon. Member on 11th November 1977—[Vol. 938, c. 2981—could only be broken down to individual private bodies at disproportionate cost. The voluntary bodies concerned are listed below under the services they are currently providing:

Community Industry The National Association of Youth Clubs operate this scheme through 42 local units spread throughout Great Britain.
