HC Deb 16 December 1977 vol 941 c505W
Mr. Madden

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how many witnesses have been interviewed by the inspectors inquiring into the affairs of the Peachey Property Co.; if he will list them; when he expects to receive the inspector's report; if he will publish the report in full; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Clinton Davis

Twenty-nine. It would not be appropriate at this stage to list the witnesses who have been interviewed. The usual practice is for such a list to be appended to the report when it is submitted. As I informed the hon. Member for Hampstead (Mr. Finsberg) on 26th October and 9th November 1977, the inspectors expect to make a substanstial interim report by March 1978, and the question of publication will be considered when the interim report is received. I do not propose to make a statement now.
